Habersham x Waldburg - Linoleum Print
These four-plate linoleum prints from 2015 illustrate a Victorian home on my old street in Savannah, GA. I loved our little apartment, too, but I always admired the proud double-story bay windows and general state of stoic disrepair of this aging house.
About half of these prints are editioned and half are Artist's Proofs, but the print quality is similar in all of them, hence the pricing. The main difference between prints in color. Some houses have pale pinkish-oyster siding and soft mint shingles, and the other houses have reversed colors.
These prints measure approximately 34cm x 34cm, and are printed on delicate Eastern paper with raw torn edges.
Please note that there are small differences between prints, including slight shifts in registration, small dots of ink from the printing plate, and subtle variations in tone. While not intentional features of the prints, such "imperfections" are to be expected and they serve as a reminder of the labour involved in this method of printmaking.
