Intended as a protest against the state of reproductive healthcare access in America, the Abortifacients silk cravat is illustrated with herbs that have been used throughout history to terminate unwanted pregnancies. In our modern times, it's harrowing to imagine some people turning to such a life-threatening last resort when the medical technology for safe pregnancy termination exists just out of legal reach. These herbs are dangerous even when used correctly, and many of them work simply because they are literally poisonous. 

$5 from each scarf sold will be donated to The National Network of Abortion Fund's Collective Power Fund, which distributes grants to abortion funds across America, with a focus on the South and Midwest, where it’s often most difficult to access a safe abortion. These funds offer direct funding and practical support to individuals who need to access reproductive care in or out of the states they live in.

The herbs on this long and wide silk cravat rest on a background of a delicate shade of silvery-blue, similar to the color an overcast sky before a storm breaks. The scarf is constructed from two layers of pure silk satin, with vivid digital printing on both sides, so it looks perfect from all angles, regardless of how you tie it. It looks fabulous when worn as a cravat, a headband, a hairbow, tied chicly at the throat, or however you wish to style it.
