Hecate - Silk Scarf
Hecate, shown here in her triple form, is the Greek Goddess of herbalism, magic, the night, ghosts, and necromancy -- among other things. In one of her many roles, she served as Persephone's guide and companion to and from the Underworld, and is consequently associated with crossroads, doorways, the threshold between life and death, and other liminal spaces. In contemporary times, Hecate serves as a key figure in modern Witchcraft, and is often called upon for guidance and spellwork in a vast range of situations, befitting her complex identity. For more information about this mythological figure and for an explanation of some of the symbolism hidden in this scarf, you may read more here.
The Hecate scarf was created in collaboration with award winning lingerie designer Karolina Laskowska, to accompany a truly exquisite lingerie collection (part of which you see illustrated here) themed on the same mythological figure. The scarf is constructed from deliciously soft (yet surprisingly durable) silk twill, mirror-printed on both sides of the fabric to ensure vibrancy and decadence no matter how you tie it.
